I guess I'm asking this because I'm looking to make encounter tables for such places as The Duchy of Urnst using the MM III, etc. |
#2cwslyclghFeb 18, 2005 0:39:16 | yes... I use monsters from all of the sources that I have available to me when planing my adventures. |
#3omoteFeb 18, 2005 10:23:09 | YES. I use monsters from the following sources: MMI MMII MMIII Fiend Folio Tome of Horrors I Tome of Horros II When creating random encounter charts, I use the encounter charts found in FROM THE ASHES as a guide. I extrapolate a bit, and add certain baddies from all the v3.5 sources into those tables. Not every creature IMO from these v3.5 sources is very "Greyhawky," therefore I use them as one shot creatures or simply just don't use them. My ultimate goal is to recreate the encounter charts found in FROM THE ASHES, just like they are in the Forgotten Realms DM screen booklet (day and night encounter charts, and very specific by region). The problem is is that this is a massive task to undertake (larger then I ever thought!). It has been slow, but worthwild. I would LOVE to see this done in the pages of Dungeon or Dragon magazine... but I'll probably have to do this myself. *shrugs* .........................................Omote FPQ |
