#1 joboo Feb 18, 2005 8:49:10	In my own DS campaigns, the city states of Darksun are elaborate and incredible (provided that they are not in ruins). Like everyone else the arcietecture I use are moldeled from historical sites. Because it's a fantasy setting these cities happen to be even greater than anything we can and have created on Earth. Darksun uses and has used slavery for thousands of years. In addition, Psionics can be used to build, move stones, ect. Magic, divine, or arcane can also be employed for this use. While Psionics and Magic is often used for protection or battle (not to mention survival), the Sorcerer Monarchs would undoubtedly use these powers as tools. (Hell, who ever has the best city may draw in the most people to pay taxes, barter & trade, and be used in the military. I understand that not all cities are so welcoming though.) With the immense statues, lush gardens, and the protection of high walls anyone can experience luxury, at a price. Just follow the laws and pay your fees.
