Draconian CRs

Feb 28, 2005 19:58:13 Does anyone have unofficial versions of the basic Draconians at lower CRs? The CRs of the Draconians in the 3rd edition setting book seem to be a bit high. I'd like to be able to throw a bunch of Baaz Draconians against a low-level team, but right now the characters have to be level 6 just to fight four Baaz Draconians! If I want higher CR Draconians I'll just give them class levels.

Mar 05, 2005 12:27:32 Its not stated anywhere that they cant meet draconians at any level. Just that the fight may be tougher or whatnot.

The CR's are a rough guideline of what an "average" party can expect to need. Given that no such thing as an average party exists, I'd just use them, and see what happens. If all else fails, clever players know when to retreat ;)

Mar 05, 2005 12:37:20 - Just use a smaller group of baaz
- or reduce their hit points
- or give them less Hit Dice (which reduces all the other stuff)

Mar 05, 2005 17:23:27 Is there anyplace where the character version of stats are given for Noble Draconians and for Aurak, Bozak, and Sivak Draconians? I have the DM screen and while it has the basics it lacks certain items such as Racial Skill and Feat listings (I'm assuming the feats listed are bonus feats).

Remember the companions had a rough time with Draconians and they were around 4th or 5th lvl when they first encounted them.

Mar 07, 2005 3:36:35 I'm planning on doing a War of the Lance campaign, but I wanted to start the characters at level 1. Maybe I should run a few prelude games to get the characters up a few levels first.
