Or maybe it symbolizes someone getting shot in the eye when they try to look through a peep hole. Or maybe it symbolizes delicious marshmallow peeps!

In neat little rows upon rows, seemingly identical, yet each one subtly different. From their transparent confinement they can gaze out upon the heedless world, only a thin layer of film separating them from their freedom. Oh how they suffer in agony as they long to run free with the other peeps! And just at the moment when they think they have been freed from their endless plastic torment, they are devoured, chewed-up, and utterly consumed by titanic uncaring beings of immense power. Is that not a perfect metaphor for Carceri? ;)
