#1 zombiegleemax Apr 02, 2005 13:51:06	While reading the 300 year thread, I thought, "What would happen if a Chronnicles of Riddick style invasion landed on Athas"? Basically, an advance, probably alien force attemps to take over Athas. This would change the technology of Athas into a neo-cyberpunk world. Discuss.
#2 xlorepdarkhelm_dup Apr 02, 2005 14:00:34	Well, actually, there were plans on Rhulisti (the progenitor Halfling race of Athas) to return, in spaceships, or something like that. The people who were developing Dark Sun, when TSR was shut down, migrated over to Star Wars mostly. When they developed the "New Jedi Era" line of books, the Yuusong Vong invaders of that era were strongly influenced by the Rhulisti when they were developed. Enough so that I have actually used the stats & rules of the Yuusong Vong from Star Wars d20 RPG as the returning Rhulisti. Their technology is 100% lifeshaped (if there ever was anything that would be "lifeshaped"). Even the backstory/history of the Yuusong Vong plays right into Dark Sun.
