#2superpriestApr 08, 2005 18:25:03 | They should still be available from rpgnow, right? |
#3korvarApr 08, 2005 18:29:04 | Hm. It seems so. Just call me Chicken Little |
#4terminus_vortexaApr 09, 2005 11:14:40 | This could be a foreshadowing of good things to come. It seems to be WOTC's manner of operation to discontinue the availability of old editions of their products when the new ones will come out soon. We may see Dark Sun 3.5 in Hardcover much sooner than anyone anticipated. |
#5superpriestApr 09, 2005 12:38:09 | Maybe it's just SV Games giving it up, not WotC? It can't cost WotC much to let it continue. |
#6dawnstealerApr 09, 2005 14:32:45 | It's more likely that SVG can't afford the overhead of paying WoC royalties. I've said it before: I'd rather Dark Sun stayed with the community. On a side note, I'm glad I got PDFs of all those books before SVG decided it was unprofitable. |

While it is entirely possible, that seems irrational. Why would Wizards charge royalties that cause SVG to stop selling a product? Fewer profits, which are essentially free for Wizards in the end, are better than no profits, after all. |
