#3zombiegleemaxApr 13, 2005 16:24:00 | Does anyone know what "Hopeful Dawn" from Dungeon #41 is about? It takes place in Veluna City and concerns a prophecy about a night when both moons are dark. S P O I L E R The local thieves guild plans to take advantage of the night (when most people hide indoors) and go on a crime spree. The PCs are there to stop them. |
#4AmarilApr 13, 2005 19:31:45 | Thanks. So it's not what I was hoping for. |
#5erik_monaApr 16, 2005 22:36:33 | What were you hoping for? As an aside, it's worth mentioning that "Hopeful Dawn" has quite a bit of backstory that sheds light on the worship of Rao and the politics of Veluna. It's not much, but we're talking about something that has had almost no development, so the adventure is somewhat useful even if the plot doesn't fit your campaign. --Erik |
#6AmarilApr 16, 2005 23:48:17 | What I have planned for the future is an adventure for my playersto delve into Chathold to recover some items before it sinks into Relmor bay as prophesied by the storm giantess Heirennea. I have been trying to find some sort of adventure that at least contains a map of a ruined city. Erik, if Dungeon magazine had a high-level adventure featuring an expedition into Chathold or some other recently ruined city that could be used for such an adventure, I would be forever grateful. |
#7ArgonApr 18, 2005 21:16:45 | Hopeful Dawn is only my favorite Dungeon adventure ever. Instead of throwing all the wholly high hecate to explain everthing this author uses superstitions and diguises to thwart the heros. This is the mold all adventures should draw from. Gary Lai gets a top of the line vote from me. |

#9ividApr 19, 2005 4:30:32 | Friend Amaril, there used to be a good Dungeon adventure index at enworld. Did you get that one? If not, then I can just send it to you. R |
#10thanaelApr 19, 2005 5:08:04 | You probably mean Jay Haffner's index. See the link I provided above... |
#11ividApr 20, 2005 1:56:10 | *checked your link, Thanael.* Yes, exactly, that's the one I mentioned. *Sorry, hadn't seen your earlier link.* :angelhide |
