#1PennarinApr 16, 2005 15:30:48 | Its time for Part 2! After the success of last year's Part 1 I hope we'll have even more fun this time around...oh, and get some art out of it. Of course. :D Ok, so its simple, you send me samples of your work at my athas.org adress - pennarin@gmail.com - and I'll see if we can use your work for the upcoming second part of the Dregoth Ascending adventure. If so, we'll discuss what everyone's task(s) will be. For those that have already contributed to Part 1, you're in the clear, no homework for you! I'll be contacting you shortly to see if you're ok for Part 2. A reminder though: the art that you provide for the products athas.org makes is free since, in Jon's words, "We're a volunteer organization with zero income. You get exposure and hopefully satisfaction from getting your art into Dregoth Ascending." Synns and Joboo: Send me your stuff please, since you voiced in the past your desire to contribute to athas.org material; I think you never did send me anything. |
#2korvarApr 16, 2005 15:44:49 | I'm assuming if we were in Part 1, we're already submitted? |
#3methvezemApr 16, 2005 15:53:59 | As Korvar already said, I hope we are. |
#4dawnstealerApr 16, 2005 17:17:58 | I could probably toss a few images into the hat. Email me with requests. |
#5PennarinApr 16, 2005 17:48:59 | Head post edited. |
#6ruhl-than_sageApr 16, 2005 20:24:18 | I'd be interested in doing a comissioned piece for the adventure. What sort of images are you looking for? Are there any specific pictures that you need, or would like to have for the adventure? Nevermind, I'll send you some samples, like you requested. *Hits self over head for being impulsive and not reading carefully* |
#7balican_gigoloApr 17, 2005 2:54:04 | Is there anything you would be looking for? I might be able to draw something worth a look. Some NPC portraits? Dray? |
#8jon_oracle_of_athasApr 17, 2005 11:29:53 | Unfortunately we don't pay commissions. We're a volunteer organization with zero income. You get exposure and hopefully satisfaction from getting your art into Dregoth Ascending. |
#9PennarinApr 17, 2005 12:23:10 | Is there anything you would be looking for? I might be able to draw something worth a look. Some NPC portraits? Dray? We have Dregoth Ascending Part 2 (no, I don't have material for scenes as of yet, or even character portraits, but any day now) and PrC Appendix 1 that are availlable for those artists desiring to contribute. For DA Part 2 you'll have to wait that I send you some art requests, but for the PrC document there is no specific directive; instead, download the document on the athas.org website, read the descriptive texts for each class, and produce some scene or portrait of a character with levels in one of those PrCs. |
#10zombiegleemaxApr 17, 2005 12:44:26 | Great. The brain is already molding images within my twisted mind |
#11jon_oracle_of_athasApr 17, 2005 14:29:48 | Cool. |

#13jon_oracle_of_athasApr 17, 2005 16:18:39 | No worries. Glad we're on the same page. |
#14GrummoreApr 17, 2005 21:43:42 | Any ideas on the kinds of pictures you need? A list of what you are looking for could be useful. Thanks. |
#15PennarinApr 17, 2005 22:15:13 | Well, there will be plenty of male and female muls, elfs, humans, dwarves, and a slew of drays in varied situations. Some city scapes probably, and underground habitats. There's even a badna zombie. What I personnaly would like to see happen is to be showered with drawings of Scorcher so I can find a pic that best represents the sword, cause right now I only have one Scorcher pic. But really, if you're interested send me an email at the adress in the first post and I'll send you packages, or bundles of information about specific drawings that need to be done. But understand that right now I don't have all the packages in hand, more will come in the coming days and weeks. |
#16dawnstealerApr 17, 2005 23:23:09 | I have a couple pics, but I'm not sure how Dark Sun related they are: Gallery ;) |
#17zombiegleemaxApr 26, 2005 7:43:13 | Hi, I did some of the work on the 'Terrors of the Deadlands', I've been out of things for a while, finishing work at uni etc., and would be happy to contribute if I get some ideas. Big hello to anybody who remembers me from long ago!! Steve Bell |

Haven't been updated for a long time though, I'm going to give the Crimson Shadows site an overhaul soon(ish). |
