#1aravanusApr 18, 2005 1:48:12 | Has anyone come up with stats for any of the gods (Reorx and Lunitari, especially) like they do in "Deities and Demigods" for other pantheons? I know that in the DLCS they give just some basic info on them but no real stats...Can anyone help? |

I've posted the (extremely) epic stats for Nuitari, Chemosh, Morgion, and Gilean on another site using a combination of Dicefreaks' deity generation rules and Tebryn14's power clause. Holy Order of the Stars will most likely have that info as the sourcebook is expected out next month IIRC. And it's official. |

#6cam_banksApr 20, 2005 11:51:01 | The HOotS book won't have stats for the gods. At least it better not. All I can tell you is, "sort of". The way the Krynnish gods work, what their nature is and how they relate to the real world is very very different from the way the gods of Faerun or Oerth work. This will be addressed properly in Holy Orders of the Stars, but I think it's a safe assumption to say that it won't be quite like Faiths and Pantheons or Deities and Demigods. Cheers, Cam |
#7raistlinroxApr 21, 2005 12:23:06 | How do you know this, and either way, why is having those stats so bad? It has been stated before that it wouldn't be done. But with Cam's response I'm curious to see what it will have. and the why, is because when you stat things out, then people try to kill it. And personally I think that GODS are way above feats, skills, or even ability stats. I kinda like the stats given in the old DL Adventures book, the god can do 1-1000 damage and they get to choose exactly what that number is. It just seems silly to me to have gods on any kind of level with mortals, so the mortals can compare "Hey, I have power attack just like Sargonnas" etc. |

I can totally understand where your coming from with this line of thinking, and to a certain extent, I agree. I think that base stats for the gods in whatever avatar form they take should be statted out, but that's just my opinion. As for the gods themselves, technically they could have stats, since Raistlin did manage to kill off almost the entire pantheon of Krynn's gods in an alternate future, so the gods are killable if not quite mortal. Trick is, you need to go to their home plane, and fight on their terms, where they have full, unfettered access to the totality of their powers, which means unless you have some EXTREMELY well thought out plan with contingencies like Raistlin did, your gonna get messed up in more ways that you could even fathom. |

Much as it would be a very nice thing to use Raistlin as the benchmark of mortal performance, it's really not as easy as that. In fact, I really rather wouldn't. Nobody else is going to do what he did, and he didn't realize what he'd got himself into when he did, so it's best that we look the other way and cough. Cheers, Cam |

Actually, I used Raistlin as an example to prove the gods are not totally indestructible, but by no means did I intend to undermine the level of power they possess. By and large, any mortal that even considers tangling with a god on their plane is in for a world of hurt. :P |
