#3MortepierreApr 22, 2005 4:10:04 | It's a step in the right direction, although the resolution is too low to see clearly cities and villages, not to mention the big DUNGEON advertising in the lower left corner. Still, better than nothing... |
#4ividApr 22, 2005 4:58:59 | ;) Mr Mona announced some time before that he wants the great map for his yet-to-be-built homepage. So, maybe that's not the last time we saw it... |
#5AmarilApr 22, 2005 8:12:11 | I think the 1600x1024 copy of the map was for desktop wallpaper on a widescreen display. |
#6ElendurApr 22, 2005 10:54:20 | Awesome. This I can send to my players without them noticing certain locations which I wish to remain hidden... |
#7erik_monaApr 22, 2005 23:19:39 | Glad you guys are enjoying the image. I should note that it's meant to be a desktop image, and is not really intended as a game reference. As another poster noted, the resolution is not so great and there's a big "Dungeon" logo on it. Basically, if you think Greyhawk or the map or Dungeon is cool, it's a way to make your computer even nerdier. I'm not sure what Ivid is referring to. I did a map of Oerik a long time ago that tied in a bunch of countries from the Gygax/Dille "Sagard the Barbarian" and the New Infinities Gord books that I'd like to put up, but I have no intention of posting the big Greyhawk map on a personal website. It'll be several months before I have an actual website (I'm really, really, really busy at work these days), but I did start a blog a few months ago that has some Greyhawk content (and some boring stuff, and some politics, so be warned): http://www.superunicorn.com/erik I'm in the process of assembling files for an actual website, but it'll have to wait until Paizo has launched the Age of Worms Adventure Path, the Shackled City hardcover, the Dragon Compendium hardcover, and our new miniatures line. I think I need a vacation! --Erik |

I sincerely apologize if I served to create some rumour. I glanced at a thread from CF (or maybe even on your blog) some time before and I am pretty sureit was written something about posting your (I think it was specified that it was the Paizo map) Greyhawk map on your upcoming website. Of course, I have no link at hand to proove it right now. :raincloud Sorry to awoken false hope (once again)! ------------------------------------------------------------- In any case, I hope Paizo comes to change that attitude sooner or later... That new map was too good to end up just as an inlay of a mag! ;) I think we all are loking forward to see your HP, Mr Mona. Even if it takes until 2010 until you go online... |
