#1zombiegleemaxApr 24, 2005 12:50:41 | yes, i have a personal grudge against azalin. :D no offense meant to anyone who likes him. or strahd. i read both i, strahd books this past year, while my group was still playing ravenloft. in the second book, there is mention of somthing that azalin and strahd did in mordent. apparently this was described in a 2nd edition adventure. could someone give me a summary of what happened? bonus points for making azalin sound like a dork. :D |

#4zombiegleemaxApr 28, 2005 5:04:54 | Man will you be pleased by this module if you'd like to see Strahd and Azalin look like dorks! Gryphon Hill has always been akward on the context of RL canon since it was created after I6 (the original romp in Stradh's Castle) but before people thought to make a camapaign setting out of 'loft. The summarry. A guy called the alchemist shows up in mordent and turns out to be Strahd's good half. The shadowy evil half also shows up. He build the apparatus. Monsterific personalities start possessing the locals. Monsters also live in the basement of some NPC allies (apparently w/o drawing attention...) and if I remember right Azalin is something of a wandering encounter (off course he's just a lich with a name and no backstorry at this point). Despite all these flaws the module has some strengths as well. Like I6 there are soem carefully controleld random elements about goals and objects. With work there is a great adventure here...just without the personalities of Strahd and Azalin. -Eric Gorman |
