Good afternoon gang!

Just wanted everyone to know that we have a nice, early preview of Holy Orders of the Stars online to reward everyone's patience while waiting on the new string of product. We're doing our best, and know that some really cool things are in store.

Click here to find out what the heck I'm talking about, and encounter the deadly Plague Knight of Morgion prestige class.

These are the guys who even have clerics of Chemosh looking askance at them, saying "Now that's @#!! hardcore."

If clerics of Chemosh said that sort of thing, that is.

If clerics of Chemosh said that sort of thing, that is.

That's more a Sirrionite quote. But then, the Sirrionite cleric would be running away as he said it. In a sort of dashing, flamboyant sort of way.

While being chased by fiendish rats.

Cheers,
Cam

It's a curious thing:

Every time I think *This will be my last campaign in DL, then I'll drop the setting for good* something happens that holds me back.

This time, this something might be that preview... and what I just read on the product spotlight page:

Dragons of Autumn: War of the Lance Chronicles, Volume I

November 2005

Return to the classic Dragonlance adventures that launched a series of best-selling novels and game products! The first volume follows a group of unlikely heroes who must re-discover the "greatest gift" given to the mortal races of Krynn.

Congrats, Mr Chambers!

Although 5th Age is not my thing, your gaming books always manage to keep me tied to the setting!

I don't know why, but that fiendish rat comment made me laugh so hard, my monitor was temporarily covered in mt dew. maybe cuz it's 4:30 am here, or the mental picture of some mamby-pamby guy with bright red sequined flowing sleeves with a long sash, and a hat with a huge feather in it....being chased by fiendish rats. whatever it's bedtime

I poke fun at the Sirrionites, but their prestige class in this book is one of my favorites. But I'm glad you're amused.

Cheers,
Cam

New PrC: The Mac Daddy of Sirrion?

You just wanted to give all of the other players an action point, didn't you, Clark.

Cheers,
Cam

Plague Knight? Why Knight? We dont need more Knight's. Above all not evil Knights. We, the Knight of Neraka, are the sucessors of the Knight of Takihsi have the copy right of evil knights. Nobody else. :D

No offense, of course Cam. Just when you said running away in a flamboyant way, just brought that image to mind. I can't wait to see ALL of the classes, Sirrion not to be excluded.

This would be the perfect PrC to represent that guy in the novel about Huma, the traitor-knight with the corpse-like visage (Reinard?) who murdered a couple of his fellows before Huma put him down for good.
Wouldn't it?

Very good point. I thought of that too. Definitely got interested in that marvellous book.

I was sceptical at 3e DL, but with the Bestiary, WotL and maybe with this one, they have won my heart again.

To exchange my ideas here with Mr Chambers and Cam for me personally is at the same level as chatting with Frank Mentzer over at Dragonsfoot! Thank you for a great series of works that made my game better!

I thought that's what/who it was based on...

He's certainly an inspiration, but I don't think he was a plague knight. He didn't show a lot of the abilities the plague knight possesses, such as having a fiendish swarm as a companion or striking people with attacks that infect them with horrid diseases. Of course, maybe we just didn't see that overtly.

Cheers,
Cam

Rennard most definitely was not a plague knight. Beyond the abilities, he had no spellcasting ability whatsoever.

Of course, Rennard does provide some inspiration in Holy Orders of the Stars.

More like a special agent.
