#1TorpedoMay 26, 2005 11:22:35 | What are the chances of WotC providing a Greyhawk (default D&D) calendar tool like the Forgotten Realms version found at this link? http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frx/20050525x |
#2bastrakMay 26, 2005 14:22:07 | Given their current policy towards Greyhawk I suspect somewhere between negligible and zero. |
#3AmarilMay 26, 2005 15:21:01 | A calendar for the default D&D setting WOULD be nice though. |
#4bastrakMay 26, 2005 15:45:17 | Indeed. |
#5ElendurMay 26, 2005 15:49:33 | Hmm, now I'm intrigued. I think I could do this for Greyhawk. Unfortunately I develop in .Net, so it'd have to be an exe or I'd have to find a host for an ASP .Net page. Let me know if anyone is interested. My guess is someone out there has already done this for Greyhawk, he just needs to chime in. |
#6AmarilMay 26, 2005 15:58:03 | Elendur, would one be able to add historical and personal notes? |
#7AmarilJul 29, 2005 9:29:47 | Elendur, are you still interested in making this happen? Im perfectly happy with an EXE. Hopefully, WotC can provide us with something official (and downloadable). |
#8zombiegleemaxJul 29, 2005 10:26:56 | a calendar would definitely add to the RP experience, and would make hte job as DM much easier. ok, there were a lot of results for 'greyhawk calendar' in google, and i found this which i thought was cool http://www.greyhawkonline.com/canonfire/Clay_Luthers_Greyhawk_Calendar_(pdf).pdf but i also found these http://www.modeemi.cs.tut.fi/%7Efey/DD3/calendar_GH.html http://www.nirgal.com/games/rpg/greyhawk/calendar what do you guys think is best? i think the first is great for a printout calendar, and the 2nd and 3rd are good for details |
#9AmarilJul 29, 2005 10:37:45 | a calendar would definitely add to the RP experience, and would make hte job as DM much easier. ok, there were a lot of results for 'greyhawk calendar' in google, and i found this which i thought was cool I currently use Clay Luther's while ignoring his custom holiday entries, and I have the holidays on the third one as a seperate file. Clay's allows me to write in campaign notes on each day that passes in my campaign, but I would prefer to have an application that will allow me to add as many notes as I'd like (perhaps pull up the notes as hypertext) and visually see the phases of the moons on any day. |
#10gazza555Jul 29, 2005 10:37:51 | The Eberron/FR Calendar tools are not too difficult to modify. Here's one I'm slowly working on for Mystara. Regards, Gary |
#11ElendurJul 29, 2005 12:53:33 | Ok, I'll start looking to this. Coding a calendar app is more work related than reading the boards, right? ;) If I recall, the moon phases don't vary from year to year in Greyhawk, right? That should make it easier. |
#12AmarilJul 29, 2005 12:59:41 | Ok, I'll start looking to this. Coding a calendar app is more work related than reading the boards, right? ;) Uhh.. yeah, it is! heheheh The moons in Greyhawk are very cyclical. Celene is full only in the middle of each of the four festivals, and Luna is full every four weeks. |
