#1technodemonMay 28, 2005 11:07:53 | I hope still come here, cause I have an idea I need help with. Are there gamblers (the profession) in Greyhawk? Cause this will be a small part of my character which the main concept is a Traveler, wanderer, vagabond etc., and I thought about adding a gambler to the mix. The class I am is Bard for other reason but I am wondering if rogue would fit. Would either class work for the gambler/wanderer in Greyhawk? |
#2twicebornMay 28, 2005 12:14:18 | They would both fit very well, IMHO, and Greyhawk is sure to have its share of gamblers just as any other world does. Have fun! |
#3MortepierreMay 28, 2005 13:11:15 | Eh, the first book of the Gord the Rogue series of novel (by EGG himself) is all about a rogue gambling in GH. If you can find one, read it for inspiration! |

#5AmarilMay 28, 2005 23:27:23 | One of the PCs in my campaign is a Cleric of Ralishaz, diety of ill-luck and gambling, and he has a few ranks in Profession (gambler). |
#6mortellanMay 28, 2005 23:33:16 | http://www.greyhawkonline.com/wogcomic/title/wogstrip17a.htm Norebo and Ralishaz, what a coincidence! ;) |
#7AmarilMay 28, 2005 23:37:44 | No coincidence. The request for Ralishaz was as a gifted favor for the player in my campaign. ;) Needless to say, he was rather excited to see the strip. :D |
#8mortellanMay 28, 2005 23:46:35 | Glad to be of service. And for the original poster, the gambling place in GHC is the 'Wheel of Gold'...IIRC it is owned by the Lord Mayor, Nerof Gasgal who has shady ties to the Thieves Guild. Kind of mafia-las vegas-ish, no? |
#9technodemonMay 29, 2005 10:30:36 | Well Gambling will not be the main focus of the caharacter but the traveling to plae to place is. Gambling will be just a job. |
