#1jon_oracle_of_athasJun 30, 2005 17:53:07 | The long-awaited sequel to The Day of Light is released for public playtesting. This is an alpha version, subject to change. The final version will include more art, maps, possibly more encounters, and maybe other elements as well. Note that the alpha release uses a hybrid between the former iteration and the current iteration of the DS 3.5 Core Rules. The final release will use the latest version of the DS 3.5 Core Rules. You can download Dregoth Ascending Part II: The Quest alpha release from the athas.org site: http://athas.org/releases/dregothascending/da_chapter2-alpha1.pdf |

"Can't wait to play this." "About freaking time!" etc. There is also a playtest report thread for more elaborate feedback on the adventure, where you can report bugs etc: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=6583350 |

#6elonarcJul 01, 2005 3:36:34 | :D And I told Sysane, who seemed very eager to see the final version of the Scorcher, several times to ask Pikachu about it. He never did...but I also didn't want to just write "I know. I made it." I am a mean Pokémon... :evillaugh |
#7jon_oracle_of_athasJul 01, 2005 3:39:31 | And I told Sysane, who seemed very eager to see the final version of the Scorcher, several times to ask Pikachu about it. He never did...but I also didn't want to just write "I know. I made it." I am a mean Pokémon... Instant Message design sessions rock. Really. |
#8PennarinJul 01, 2005 10:24:13 | Hehe, the clues Elonarc left behind for Sysane were fun to read. I think the sword sucks too. |
#9zombiegleemaxJul 01, 2005 18:04:08 | Aye the swords sucks....it needs some oomf to it! Vorpal? Sharpness? Btw....wtf! DA 3?!!!! I was hoping this would be the end of it! Where/when is the DA 3 coming out? -Iintroneurotic |
#10SysaneJul 01, 2005 18:21:32 | :D And I told Sysane, who seemed very eager to see the final version of the Scorcher, several times to ask Pikachu about it. He never did...but I also didn't want to just write "I know. I made it." I am a mean Pokémon... :evillaugh Yeah, so much for the "Design the Scorcher contest". |
#11jon_oracle_of_athasJul 02, 2005 4:00:27 | Yeah, so much for the "Design the Scorcher contest". Just because all of your ideas weren't used, doesn't mean there wasn't a lot of idea pooling on the sword. |
#12jon_oracle_of_athasJul 02, 2005 4:05:34 | Aye the swords sucks....it needs some oomf to it! Vorpal? Sharpness? The other two were joking (inside humour). If you think the sword needs some more oomf, please provide the reasoning for it in the feedback thread. A designer's choice answer would be provided in said thread. http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=6583350 |
#13jon_oracle_of_athasJul 02, 2005 4:19:24 | Btw....wtf! DA 3?!!!! I was hoping this would be the end of it! Where/when is the DA 3 coming out? Part 3 is scheduled for release Spring 2008, but it will only be released in Zimbabwe. Part 4 is scheduled for release Autumn 2012 in Japan, Iceland and Malta. We'll skip Part 5 and release Part 6 in 2030 - on Mars if everything goes as planned. :P Just kidding. Part 3, the final part of the Dregoth Ascending trilogy, is scheduled for release this Christmas. |
#14zombiegleemaxJul 02, 2005 8:47:49 | 1. WooHoo! Good work everyone. 2. Will passages like "During his travels Dregoth discovered the presence and worshipping of actual true gods, something previously unknown to the world of Athas.... is now putting events in motion, hoping to become Athas's first true god....the gods of the planes have never turned their attentions towards the world of Athas.... [t]he spiritual conduits that allow the gods of other worlds to draw strength from their worshipers don’t exist on Athas, and so the powers of the planes have turned away from the inhabitants since the earliest days of existence." do anything to stop the "so, do you think Athas might really have once had gods?" threads? Probably not. |
#15jon_oracle_of_athasJul 03, 2005 4:27:35 | Seems like Kevin puts the lid on the discussion with that paragraph, doesn't it? ;) |
