#1methvezemJul 05, 2005 18:19:45 | Here is a PrC inspired from the auditor in the Will and the Way. Feel free to send feedback and comments about it. (thanks already to Pennarin) : Auditor “Do not try to keep anything from me, I’ll know.”- Makkared, urikite auditor Auditors are the eyes and hears that work to unravel the secrets that everyone keep deeply buried. They deal in information, at ease within the intrigue, double-dealing, and treachery common to the cities. Auditors are known by many names depending on the cities in which they are found: they are sellsminds in Tyr's Elven Warrens while being called investigators or mindeyes in Urik. Only seers and telepaths have the Will to improve their knowledge on the level an auditor requires. Psions that combine their abilities with the rogue class are also common. Auditors are composed mostly of humans, mainly because they constitute the majority of the cities' population, but also because they draw less attention in urban areas, although elven, half-elven and dwarven auditors are not uncommon. NPC auditors are mostly found in the various city-states, employed by anyone who needs information, be they templars, traders from the dynastic merchant houses, criminals, or members of the local Veiled Alliance. Hit Die: d4. Requirements To qualify to become an auditor, a character must fulfill all the following criteria. Skills: Gather information 8 ranks, Sense motive 6 ranks. Feats: Inquisitor. Psionics: Able to manifest 2nd-level powers, with at least two from the clairsentience discipline. Class Skills: The auditor’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are: Appraise (Int), Bluff (Cha), Concentration (Con), Decipher script (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Disguise (Cha), Gather information (Cha), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Listen (Wis), Psicraft (Int), Search (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spot (Wis). Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier. The Auditor |

#3methvezemJul 05, 2005 19:52:09 | I've corrected the english and tweaked a few awkward phrases. I edited my post. As always, thanks Penn for reviewing my text. I posted the last version I had, it needed some revision, mostly for the introduction to the PrC. |

#5murkafJul 06, 2005 7:14:32 | You should change the table's label to "The Auditor"... |
#6methvezemJul 06, 2005 7:25:42 | You should change the table's label to "The Auditor"... Oops, changed it. And thanks Khaine :D . I tried to stay true to the role of the kit in 2nd ed when I choose the auditor's abilities. That is to have a psionic spy and information gatherer that could be feared because he could get your secrets even if you were not directly aware of him. |
#7kalthandrixJul 06, 2005 8:06:43 | Looks really good :D . I only had time for a quick read but I liked what I saw. |
#8squidfur-Jul 06, 2005 18:43:22 | Might it be an idea to note that the auditor is known by different names in each city. Urik = investigators or mindeyes Tyr's Elven Market = sellminds |
#9methvezemJul 07, 2005 7:45:01 | Might it be an idea to note that the auditor is known by different names in each city. Yes, very good idea indeed, consider it done ;) . |
