Who was the manager of the AD&D Mystara line?
AFAIK, Tim Beach was the manager of the AD&D Red Steel/Savage Coast line; did he also head up the Mystara (proper) branded line?Andria Hayday was the actual line manager for AD&D Mystara. Tim Beach was a developer. He adapted my original work from the Princess Ark for AD&D Red Steel. Team Beach never managed anything at TSR.
Thanks! I see that Andria Hayday is also listed as Project Coordinator for Red Steel.
Credits in Red Steel IIRC are misleading. Andria Hayday was the team lead for this AD&D group. Later on, this became a product manager function at TSR across the board.
And you were (Basic) D&D product manager and team lead before this all went down?
Yes.
What was your job title during the AD&D Mystara/Red Steel era?
Why the teary face?
You did such good work. I feel sad that you got shunted away for Mystara 2E.
I volunteered to move on. I wasn't interested in rehashing Mystara entirely for an AD&D group. The concept felt really stale (to me) after years of working with Mystara. Anyway, I became Director of Production Planning for the games division & continued as manager of games acquisitions (which I'd been actually performing for the games division since... 1985 more or less).
