Carrah the Witch-Queen

by Håvard

The Witch Queen of Hel
Carrah the Witch Queen of Hel appears in Gaz7 p 22, but I have added stats and expanded upon her here.

Stats:
Lich Cleric Level 24
AL: C
HD: 9d6+15
HP: 50
AC: -11 (Chainmail +3, Shield +3, Dex 17)
ST17, CON 12, DEX 17, INT 18, WIS 18 CHA 17
XP: 14,250

Carrah is known as the ever living servant of Hel. As a young woman from Soderfjord she became a Cleric of Hel and later became a Lich after visiting the Outer Plane of Helheim. She still serves the Immortal Hel to this day. She is considered High Priestess of Hel and is often visited and aided by other Clerics and followers of that Immortal.

Carrah roams the swamps of the Sodrfjord Jarldoms. She travels in a magical faering boat. Four 4HD Ghouls man the boat at all times. In her lair she will be accompanied by 3d5 powerful undead (see Lich stats).

Carrah is able to travel to and from the Plane of Helheim using her boat. She is searching for her husband Dunhedel, an elf who used to be a Cleric of Hel, but has turned away from the faith. Carrah is always looking for brave souls who are willing to walk the path of the Dead.

Carrah is always watchful for who occupies the Isle of Narvendul. She is on friendly terms with the current Sea Witch (Ala), but if Ala is defeated, Carrah will make sure another Sea Witch is installed as a new mistress of Narvendul.

Carrah has on occasion contacted the Crones of Crystykk, but she is only on neutral terms with them.

How would you use Carrah in your campaigns?
