Salamander, Flame
by Sheldon MorrisSalamanders are free-willed beings from the elemental planes, common there but rare elsewhere. Both look like giant lizards: flame salamanders are from the plane of Fire, and frost salamanders are from the plane of Air. The two types are mortal enemies, and will attack each other on sight.
SALAMANDER, FLAME
This monster is a snakelike lizard, 12 to 16 feet long, with bright orange-yellow and orange-red scales. When not on its own plane, it prefers to live in or near volcanoes, or in very hot lands. Intense heat is radiated by the creature.
