Recently organized as part of the Order of the Griffon as a military force, this sub-component of that Order is, like the rest of the organisation, under the command of the Church of Karameikos rather than the Kingdom itself. However, the King can likely call upon its support in time of need. Alfric Oderby has tried to pack the Order of the Griffon with his supporters, however, but it is not clear how successful he has been in doing so.
