Karameikos Heraldry
by David R. Schumpert IIINow that I have a draft of my holy symbols for Mystaran Immortals out there, my next big projects are a general gathering of the heraldry of Mystara. Some source material exists, but the vast bulk is open for development.
So my two big projects now are:
a) Collect and /or create Mystaran heraldry for as many of the published sub-settings as possible plus any fan material I find interesting.
b) my main focus of late is a deep dive on the Chivalry and Peerage of the nation of Karameikos. I have already determined the arms and land holdings of every lord to hold a village or bigger in my version of Karameikos, plus knightly orders and many of the individual knights.
My goal here is not only to determine coats of arms for majority of the knights, lords, and ladies of Karameikos, but also to, in the process, make a kind of Herald's Who's Who of the Chivalry and Peerage of Karameikos. A sourcebook for players and DM's with at least a few sentences about each noble and reference info if said NPC appears in particular source material.
For example, for purposes of my campaign I have identified and worked up arms for the entire 30+ knightly membership of the Order of the Three Suns and so on.
If any of my fellow Mystarans have any knights or lords from your campaigns you would like included in this compilation, feel free to direct message me.
Right now I am in particular looking to fill out ranks of the Order of the Griffon as I presently only have the Marshals of the order and two other knights worked out.
