The Niebelung Kingdom

Inhabitants: Niebelung Dwarves (Mist Dwarves)
These dwarves are sometimes known as Mist Dwarves and their kingdom is build near several mighty rivers. Some mist dwarves have the ability to shapechange into pikes (fish) to travel these rivers. They have accumulated a great deal of wealth including the powerful Niebelung Ring and two magical swords; Nagelring (Master Set) and Eckisax.
The Mist dwarves have allied themselves with a clan of Nixies, known as the River Maidens, who help protect the realm.
Loki once convinced the dwarf Fafnir to steal much of the gold possessed by the Mist Dwarves. Fafnir had to kill his own father Hreidmar in order to obtain the treasure. King Alberecht had cursed the treasure, leading to Fafnir being transformed into a dragon. In dragon form, Fafnir brought the stolen treasure to Laterre. Fafnir's brother Regin helped a human hero from LaTerre kill Fanfir using the sword Balmung that Wayland had forged as a gift to Odin.
