Plane of Primal Dread: Adapting X1 The Isle of Dread to Companion Master Immortal adventure

When he was a mortal man, Minroth was an explorer on Mystara. After becoming an Immortal, Minroth kept exploring the planes. One of his planar journeys lead him to a mysterious plane that he named the Plane of Primal Dread. However, Minroth has not disclosed its location.

The PCs are tasked by another Immortal or powerful mortal to find the plane and learn some of its secrets.

What is this?
I've been toying with making equivalents of existing modules as the basis for new adventures for higher level or even Immortal level PCs in my BECMI campaigns. I am not looking to make an exact copy, but instead I want to use some of the main concepts of the adventure reimagined as appropriate for more epic and high powered tales.

The Plane of Primal Dread

I originally wanted to call this the Plane of Dread, but I figured people would think it had something to do with Ravenloft, so I changed it. The plane of Primal Dread is fused with the powers of primal nature. Like the Isle of Dread, it is home to Dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures.

THE BIG SECRET
Why would Immortals or powerful mortals be interested in this plane? Perhaps the plane is fused with some powerful energies of nature or an arifact of Time that keeps the plane filled with such powerful creatures and deep jungles? Where does this magic come from? Was the plane a laboratory created by the Immortal Ka to recreate his own origins? Someone could be looking for things they can use to hurt Minroth, Ka or other Immortals linked to this plane.
