Seldom used in combat, but often used in lieu of truly dangerous spells by rival apprentices, ray of slugs is widely available to students at the Great School of Magic.

When cast, a brilliant ray of emerald light pours from the caster's wand. A victim struck by the ray gets an endurance saving throw to resist the spell. Those failing must make an endurance saving throw every minute for a number of minutes equal to their constitution score minus their level (with a minimum duration of one minute).

Every failed saving throw indicates the victim will harmlessly burp up a number of slugs equal to the number of points the saving throw was missed by. Burping slugs, of course, interferes with the ability to cast spells that have a verbal component, but has no other detrimental effect other than being, well, icky.

Material component: The material component for the spell is a wand, the tip of which must have been dipped into a slug's trail at some point in the past month.
