Robrenn highlight: the cycle of chaos and re-unification of the humanoids

by Marc Saindon

Rather than just be spearfodder, the humanoids of northern Robrenn, integrated into celtic culture, with both exposure through pillage of Robrenn goods and the influence on Unseelie fae, have their own dynamics and political struggles, with Orcs divided in two camps, and Goblins playing an alternating role of mercenaries or raiders to either help the losing faction and hinder the more dominant one (similar to Britain's "wait and see" approach to continental political). Once in a while, one tough Warlord, perhaps aided by an Unseelie Archfey, grasps power over all three factions and mounts a major invasion against Robrenn proper (ownership of the third of the "Triskelion artefact" might help the Warlord's claim).

The mounds of Ligona might serve as a portal to the Feywild, from Autumn equinox to Spring equinox, serving as an equivalent Cray or sacred land to the Humanoids, the same the Forest of Carnuilh is holy for the Druids.
