Savage Coast Related Realms in the Hollow World
by Andrew TheisenA couple of possibilities that come to mind:
- Fearing that the Enduks may have come to their end when the Nimmurians invaded, Ixion could have transferred a small group of them to a high, mountainous territory somewhere in the HW. (Possibly Jomphur or Suridal)
- The Barony of Los Elegidos disappeared mysteriously in 970 AC. Could have been swept up into Ravenloft, possibly, or maybe a significant portion of it was transferred to the HW in order to preserve the culture at that particular time before things changed too much (ie, Torreon took over its neighbors and signed the Treaty of Tampico ushering in a new era of semi-cooperation with many of the other baronies). Ravenloft (or something else) seems more likely to me, as the culture itself is/was probably not too dissimilar to that of the region now or maybe like the Belcadiz elves. In any event, in the HW setting they might be a good addition to the area around the Krugel Hordes.
- The Wallara had a thriving culture back before the Herathians basically sent them back to the stone-age. Remnants of the High Wallarans might have been shifted to the HW and exist there. Maybe they live in lands south of the Milenians? Placing them in Aerical near to the Bahlor Empire might be interesting, or they could also be in Suridal (maybe Suridal is home to a many of these Savage Coast HW transplants).
- Similar to the Wallara, if I remember correctly it has been stated (or implied) that the Tortles used to be a somewhat more thriving culture that has since suffered under the weight of other humanoid races in the region. They (and their malicious kin, the Snappers) could also be living in/around similar areas of the HW.
- Not much is known about the demi-ogres of Gombar and Suma'a, but possibly there is a remnant of these folk from an earlier point in their history before they became the more modern mercantile seafaring cultures that they are in the outer world today?
