1999

Update - 30 December

It hasn't been that long since the last update but I thought I'd get one in before the new almanac comes out.

The frames have been taken out for the moment as there have been complaints and problems, but no actual direct praise of the frames. Everything is still there but there is no reason for me to return them unless people want it.

There's now been over 30 000 hits to these pages, that's pretty cool

Added new links and started going through links, though only the bottom lot of links at the moment.

Removed off-site links from the main set of index pages - the potential for increased work maintaining these links in the future and the ad hoc way it was done thus far were the basis of this decision. Links to articles on the TSR pages still exist and will be maintained, likewise links internal to files will remain - although these links are not actively maintained.

Started adding dates for all articles posted to the Mailing List, in line with the practice for adding dates to articles posted to the Message Boards. Only the date of the last update for the article is noted, and any articles posted in a number of parts have the date of the last part recorded. So far only digest 1 has been done, though whilst doing this I've found some old files that I'd missed previously.

It has been a small while since the last update, but it's here and a number of things have changed.

I've gone and gotten rid of those annoying Geocities pop-up windows. Of course now they're replaced by annoying thingies on the bottom of every page (and the top of the main page) but I guess that that is the problem with being on Geocities.

Added files from the Mystara Message Board from 25 February to 30 March. Includes even more stuff.

I got rid of the arcade game stuff. I know two people had asked for them previously through the evaluation form but I don't think that they really go with the idea behind the page and I am not of the inclination to see that the arcade stuff is up to date.

Added a lot of files from Jim Bobb on revised character classes for gnomes and halflings and rules for combat etc.

A number of new links have been added.

Includes the end of the write-up on the History of the Clan of Ellerovyn by Harri Mäki and an almanac style write-up on Furmenglaive by Marco Dalmonte. Also includes some new interesting spells by Ohad Shaham.

Added files from the Mystara Mailing List digests from number 38 to number 80, volume 1999. Including the beginning of the history of the Clan of Ellerovyn by Harri Mäki and some thoughts on the Isle of Dawn by Andrew Theisen. Also include is information on the city of Thimhallan and associated rules for technomantic devices by Ethan Deneault and the Restorationist kit by Andrew Theisen. Also added the beginning of the Skin Trade adventure by Marco Dalmonte and the Gromwell Key an adventure by Jonathan Nolan.

Changed the excel and word documents available from this site to be zip files, as there were problems with downloading them.

Update - 26 January

This includes information on the Glantrian principalities of Krondahar and Bramyra, the ruling family of Krondahar and files on the gypsies of Karameikos and on Traladaran culture by Jennifer Favia. This includes the first instalment of Andrew Theisen's Kingdom of Ghyr gazetteer and new rules by Jim Bobb for multi-classing D&D characters. Also includes the description of the United Criers Guild by Jerry Hovenanian.

Added files from the Mystara Message Board from 31 December to 26 January. This includes more of Sharon Dornhoff's epic covering the Hollow Moon including the beginning of details on the cultures inhabiting this interesting place. Also includes a continuation of the Lords of Norwold and New-Twist stories by Jeff Daly and Geoff Gander respectively.

Added some nifty excel files by Bruce Heard adding a great deal of functionality to his files concerning dominion economics and the cost of building.

Added an alternate system by Jim Bobb for working out the experience points awarded for killing creatures.
