History
Long before the Elves of Evergrun abandoned forest living and traditional elvish magic in favor of Blackmoorian technomancy, the Westryn Elves of the Northlands - living far closer to Blackmoor - were falling under its influence. A massive hurricane that struck the area gave Ordana and Ka their opening - an elvish village in the storm's central path simply ... Disappeared.

The Westryn were the first group of elves transferred to the Hollow World, and unlike the later Blacklore and Gentle Folk, they retained their full magical skills, so magic was a key part of their culture.

To compensate for the limitations on magic imposed by the Spell of Preservation, the original transferred population of Westryn were given a Clan Relic (The Standing Stone). The idea of using a relic for this purpose was Ordana's, but the actual object was designed and crafted by Ka.

The original village was small, and though they were placed in a sheltered part of the Hollow World - far from competing cultures and large monsters - the long generation times of the elves meant the population grew very slowly. It was only after Alphatian Landfall, about 3,000 years after their placement in the Hollow World, that they found a need to expand beyond their initial valley. Even today, the majority of the population lives in that valley at least part of the time, though they may hunt outside it.
