Abeelat

Hello out there. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with the stats on the abeelat. There were references made on the abeelat in the "Tainted Sword Trilogy" set in the GDoK. Another reference was made in the "Escape from Thunder Rift" module, basically about it's crystals that provide for something like clairvoyance. It's not in the RC, the Creature Catalogue, or anything else, so if anyone out there has its stats, or would be willing to offer some pretty good ones, or a reasonable comparison to another monster, I'd be grateful.

I thought these had been detailed but I guess not. Here's some suggestions off the tope of my head (and if I remember their description right). Feel free to alter since I'm not too certain of my numbers.

AC: 5 or 4
Hit Dice: 2
Move: 12
Attacks: claw/claw/bite
Damage: 1d6/1d6/1d4
Number Appearing: 1d20
Save As: F3

Treasure: Nil
Alignment: Chaotic (Evil)
XP: 175

I believe the bite might do a bit more damage. The bite would also inject the abeelat's poison into whomever is bitten. Someone bitten should probably make some sort of save or die, if they make the save I suggest having them lose half their hit points. On the plus side anyone ever bitten by an abeelat can no longer be detected by scrying magic.

You are right that there needs to be a saving throw for the bite. Failing means death. Saving means stunned for 3 rounds with strength dropping to 3 until complete bed rest (simulate sickness)? I don't think losing half their hit points would incapacitate them like I remember the character Jo doing. She more or less passed out from the poison. Just my thought on it ;)
