Free Anachronic Society of Aalban as anti-Oard organization
by Marc SaindonI guess this group exists to keep Mystara in the usual fantasy medieval technological stasis (aside from Serraine and couple of other steampunkish areas), and Artificers weren't a class in BECMI.
One goal it might have is to prevent the coming of the Oard, which they could have had encounters with.
The Society have weird tactics like raising Gremlins, employing Goblin rogues and artificer as saboteurs, and use secrecy so that time-travelling Oard can't use historical records to track them down.
