Mystara 1050 AC -- Athenos Ascendant
by Marc SaindonImagine House Linton, tired of playing fiddle to House Mauntea, decides than rather then play politics within Darokin to create chaos and go all "Littlefingers" in schemes to promote the Lintons to top spot, House Linton takes its fleet in a colonial scheme outside of Darokin ("a limited player plays within the rules, an unlimited player plays with the rules"). This will involve a lot of dirty dealings and betrayals with Ierendi, Minrothad, Thyatis, and less savory elements (arrr!). The end result is that Linton increases its fleet, opens new routes and builds trading posts in foreign lands. And more importantly to the Lintons, an actual self-sufficient colony of "Lintown" (placeholder name) which will play part of grander scheme of Darokin expansion.
Where would you place that colony? Isle of Dread? Great Waste? Davania? Something completely unexpected?
