Bakemono Scout (Goblin Artificer variant)
by Marc SaindonMaking the most out of "Silk-Punk" and kites, this Bakemono Artificer alters bamboo-tech into strange wind-up contraptions to channel Air-based effects (e.g. the cantrip spell Gust is a starting point, 3rd level spell Fly is the obvious goal). Goblins and Small races are eligible for this subclass. As the name states, these guys are scouts - while too unreliable to field en masse, they can perform recon missions and even acts of sabotage, such as dropping incendiaries. Some might multiclass as Rogues. More honest Bakemonos can serve as rapid messengers and envoys.
Yes, it's a bit silly and will need a bit of homebrew, but ties a bit with Ghibli flicks.
