Master of Components at the Great School of Glantri

-Buer is a 26th level wizard and 3rd level circle Alchemist.
-This devious Master likes to dupe students and a few teachers by giving them expired or modify components.
-Example of modified component is an ounce of dragon blood. 5-40% of Blood will be replace with a alchemy concoction of his creation.
-He pockets the fresh components for himself and sells some directly to a representative of the People's Spell-Casters Company.
-Over Buer's career, 1009 to 1016 as Master, he will rob/scam the students, teachers, and the GSoM of a total of 30,000 crowns in components (1.5 million dc).
-As the years go on, students and teachers spell research & magic item creation will fail due to this con artist!! 5-40% above normal depending on the year. Master Buer will blame the week without magic affecting the quality of spell components.
-There will even be a few deaths from the faulty components.
-A smart student named Gaon Magnus age 16 and level 5th magic user (6.1016 ) got a assistant position with Buer after his younger sister Gwen Magnus 2nd level and age 11 (6.1016) got blow up and badly burnt in 3.1015 from a modify expired component given to her from Buer. It took him over a year but Gaon was able to get the get his hands on the evidence. With proof in his hands he sent a message to the Grandmaster.
-Béatrice Archambeau was visiting the Grandmaster and having tea when the "call" from the student. Béatrice Archambeau (L) is a 34th level magic user, age 42 years, 6' 4' tall, platinum hair, Caucasian, muscular build, born and raised in Glantri, Graduate of GSoM, served in the Glantrian Military for the last 20 years and now was looking for a change.
-The Grandmaster gets a emergency message from student named Gaon Magnus about Master Buer containing components and he has proof of other deeds. Please come quickly...
-Grandmaster Harald, Béatrice, Captain Johan and the three body guards:
Jean Acier 28th level Fighter, Félix Gaston 30th Fighter, and Nicolas Youssef 27th Fighter
rush off to confront Buer. Captain Johan sees something and tells the Grandmaster he will catch up in a few moments.
-The Captain Johan was stopping another threat outside. The People's Spell-Casters Company caught wind through divination that the Grandmaster was about to confront Buer. So, they sent a group of damage heavy spellcasters to take out Buer and destroy all proof of their business plus anyone witnesses. The Captain, Harve' Brilland, and Paasikvi took care of the annoyance outside.
-Harve' Brilland and Paasikvi were on their way to discuss with Buer a few issues with the components for some Ink (The black ink is glowing Green!!!)
-Grandmaster Harald, Béatrice, and the three body guards confront Buer and ask him what is is doing with those components??
-Buer denies the doing anything and is just preserving them until Gaon hands over Buer's personal ledger with specific dates and components that were traded to People's Spell-Casters Company. Along with experiments he has been preforming of different components.
-Master Buer says with a grin, "A few more years and I could have perfected my Alchemy Formula; however, I guess it is time to go..."
-Before Buer can finish that statement. The Grandmaster hits him with a silence spell. He throws an potion at the Grandmaster...missing him and splashing the Gaon with what appears and smells like a stinking cloud.
-As the student becomes nauseated then begins puking in the background . Béatrice casts a hold on Buer but it triggers a contingency that cast dispel magic (taking care of hold person and silence). Jean Acier lauchs a anti magic beam from his sword that stops 10 feet short of Buer. Buer taps a amulet he is wearing and smiles.
-Invisible stalker attacks Béatrice Archambeau. She casts a banishment on the stalker.
-Buer wields duel wands. Summons two Drolems from the another Realm that burns out one wand, that engages Jean Acier knocking a artifact sword out of his hand. The second attacks Nicolas Youssef and Félix Gaston. Buer points his other wand at Jean and a disintegration beam vaporizes him. Nicolas Youssef fires a anti magic beam from his sword at the drolems that it absorbs and begins moving faster. Félix will pick up Jean's sword and his own to engage the fast Drolem.
-Béatrice begins casting buffing spells on the Félix and Nicolas starting with haste spell.
-The Grandmaster hits Buer with a powerful lightning bolt in the shoulder but Buer amulet absorbs that bolt. Buer takes dead aim and releases a disintegration beam. The Grandmaster is pushed out of the way by the nauseated Gaon; his hand and part of arm is disintegrated.
-Buer yells, " You ungrateful insect..." and points the wand at the student.
-Béatrice blinks grabbing his amulet.
-The Gaon smiles, collapses, and says, "Good bye, Mister Buer..." and flips him off with his left hand in true Glantrian style as the group destroys the drolems with a combined effort and teacher reinforcement. The Captain follows up hitting Buer with an enchanted arrow with that acts as rod of cancellation coated with a paralyzing poison. Then the Grandmaster follows up with a casting Stone fist and hits Buer so hard knocks him and two of his teeth out.
-The Gaon is sent to the GSoM's Doctor and the Grandmaster drags Buer off to answer a few questions. All that is known was Buer survived another six days of agonizing, excruciating, dreadful torture that a human body can take. He gave up almost everything up on his deals and what he did then was finally allowed to die. This really reinforced don't mess with GSoM.
-7/1016: Béatrice Archambeau (L) 34th level magic user is temporary placed as Master of Components.

Oversee acquisition or procurement of Components through negotiation and purchase.
Knowledge in processing, cataloging and storage of components.
Authenticate and classify the GSoM's newest components.
Administration, research and Component maintenance are general, day-to-day duties.
Supervise and lead a Team. Most are minions, Invisible stalkers, "unseen" servants and students.
However, there are monthly audits and meeting to prevent another Buer Effect.
-By 9/1016 Béatrice Archambeau has the components for the GSoM back to normal and Her department running smoothly. More paperwork but runs so much better and honestly. Under her guidance the department and her team will help GSoM spellcasters reach new heights of greatness.

-10.1016 The Gaon was discharged from Doctors care. Gaon's arm and hand regenerated within a few days. The Doctor thinks it was a alchemist student trying to help out (The truth is something else). He was given a personal tour by Béatrice Archambeau and shown the improvements.
-The Grandmaster gives Gaon the low down on the events. He asks if his sister-Gwen could try to research her spell again with the correct components. The Grandmaster told Gaon he would oversee that himself. "Gwen will get assistance and advice personal from the Grandmaster Harald for this research. She will be thrill!!!" in 11.1016
-The Gaon asked for some time off. He needs to do some soul searching and some research. (He must research his condition. The vial that Buer throw at Gaon infected him with a form of Lycanthropy: Werespider with a regeneration rate 1 hp per round unless silver.)
-In 12.1016 he was able to follow a few clues he remembered about Buer to Great School of Magic Dependance in The Great School of Magic in detail by Robin on Page 403 with Miss Ovine assistance page 429 (for more details on her) will find a concealed book belonging to Buer in V19 Vermaelen Library on Page 441.
-The book is bound in jade with gemstones on each page. He will turn in this book to the Grandmaster after some debating in his mind. The Harald is impressed as the book is components are worth a 5400 crowns (or 270,000 dc). The student asks if Miss Ovine could get a bonus for assisting him in recovery of the book.
-The Grandmaster will ask is there anything Gaon wants? Gaon answers, "Gwen loved getting your assistance in her spell research. If possible could you help her in researching another spell in the future?" Harald gives Gaon a smile and a nod.
