The Rise of Cybrikian Revised
by Aoz and RobinAround 106 AC: Qyathuphion, a grey dragon, was born in a small clutch of 5 eggs and was the runt of the litter.
131 Ac: Qyathuphion becomes a local hero by saving a local dryad named Epimeliades. There was a raging forest fire and he protected her tree. The two became friends afterwards.
150 AC He founds a cave in a mountain area with a few ogres living nearby This is the area North of the New Broken Lands. He set himself up as their protector with about two dozen dragonets as his subordinates. During his regency, he put down a few bandits, and helped humans and Ogres together to build the Village Tritian (High Elven word for Hope) , expanded the town, and started learning magic. He increased trade along with mandating good hygiene...the village Tritian grew. A few years later, another larger female dragon was terrorizing the village's inhabitants . He heard their cries of distress and he came to stop her. One of his henchmen, an Ethengerian shaman, had seen bad omens, advised against his heroic intentions and told him to flee. However he had invested so much of his time into the citizens over the last few years that felt he had to intervene.
He carefully approached the other dragon in a silent flight. Then Qyathuphion presented himself as regent and protector of the village Tritian and demanded her to stop. Qyathuphion Learned that the dragon was Frandrilth, a Large Black Dragon, known as the Queen of Mean. Annoyed at his insolence as perceived by her, she clawed him within an inch of her life, then dropped his bleeding body in the village center, and with a snort she spoke, "You will never become a guardian wyrmling but will be my pet."Over the next 70 years Qyathuphion slowly recovers; however, his life under dominion of Frandrilth claw has become miserable. Due her acts of violence upon the local Elves, a group of heroic Elven adventurers succesfully killed her, and thus unknowingly freed him from his mistreared life.
Qyathuphion went back, and retreated beneath the mountain, becoming like a hermit for many years. Tritian soon forgets him, except some tales of a ruler amongst humans and humanoids existed in the past.
395 AC: The Flaems, an offshoot of the Alphatians from the original Alphatian homeworld, settle the Glantri area.
404 AC: He meets the perfect female grey dragon (smart and witty) but she chooses another younger dragon. Lonely, he pours himself into the study of the arcane and the Way of Dragons.
From the Glantri Great School of Magic by Robin
Between 395 AC & 470 AC, the Flaems found settlements at Graez, Linden, Nordeen, Traagen, Beraan, Braastar and Terreja, and the Duchy of Aalban is founded. Ryde Aalstren was part of the founding populace of Graez.
The ruins of Redfen were discovered by the Flaems after a series of disturbing massacres and kidnappings all over the region. A threatening tribe of evil barbarian/froglike humanoid mixture of followers of Stodos was eradicated after a series of wars.In 445AC a large company of Flaems trying to enter the region from the west were defeated by these barbarians.
In 450AC a massive army of Flaems with their magical powers (together with their support by the Overlord) gave the overhand. Most barbarians fled west, the few surviving frogfolk to the north (they were sighted in the marshlands north of Wendar a year later). Horrendous sacrifices were discovered after the battle, and the Shaft on the large rock (currently at 9’ above the water) was closed off with large slabs of stone. The slow removal of often strange molten and burned debris had begun. Slowly the flat artificial 'magical' stone surfaces (the concrete foundations of Redfen) became open to use, people settled to help, and these became the first new settlers of the new village Braejr in 450AC. This ended the Realm of centuries of Stodos.
In 450 AC: Qyathuphion, having become curious of the wars against the evil frogmen, meets the Flaems as a High Elf (with the identity of Aumrauth Grethyra) and trades some spells.
450 AC: The Flaems build their capital city, Braejr, and Qyathuphion sees it first hand as Aumrauth Grethyra, he helps with removal of debris, and discovers many strange things amongst them. Thinking these are arcane, predating the GRoF, he brings these into his lair south of Trintan (by Flaems renamed Tritian) to be researched later.
500-506 AC: The Dragonlord Chronicles. Qyathuphion does not involve himself in it, as he knows the Overlord is a Dragon and thus keeps a very low profile, hidden in his High Elven identity amongst the commoners of Braejr until the events pass.
Sometime afterward around 509 AC, he researches one of the items he discovered earlier in the ruins of Redfen; it is a weird technological device charged with old magic. Activating the device (unknown to him based on the Radiance), he becomes trapped in stasis.
As the First Day of Dread came in 895AC, nullifying the ancient device's magic, he was finally released, yet as of yet unaware that many years had passed!!
He finds himself in a changed world and takes the name Cybrikian to reflect this (Not drawing attention to himself by using his name of the original time he lived in). The name came to him in a dream. His scales are dark grey: he can pass as BIG black dragon but decided he will keep his elven identity as Aumrauth Grethyra, as nobody in those days lived, knowing the name, and records were lost in the war.
The next hundred years he will travel around Glantri even to the Early Fire Wizards Academy (precursor of the Great School of Magic). He will spend the next hundred years practicing magic at the Early Fire Wizards Academy, learning all he can about this new age he is in, go on a few adventures (searching for his kind) but in the end he will find out that the Grey Dragons are all gone. Eventually he will return and end up in Trollhattan in 1003 AC and begin his "troll feast" and a local tribe of frogfolk will follow him, helping him mine an old mineshaft. There he wonders if there is more to the Way of Dragons...he begins researching, he will rediscover the spell "Trollish fortitude" when munching down on trolls.
Lower Broken Lands 1 mile by Robin
Trollish Fortitude Spell1005 ac: One of Cybrikian's frog henchmen discovers Dhunanra a small Mycomid village. He is interesting in knowing where the whirlpool goes.
1007AC:A meteor devastates the area west of the Broken Lands leaving behind a large crater and Cybrikian feels a strong pull of curiosity to the area. He will wait and observe until 1011AC to move into the area. He will abandon Votar and move to K'doing. Lower Broken Lands 1012 - 1020 AC by Robin
1010 AC: He will move his frogfolk followers to Dhunanra a small Mycomid village. He thinks the two races will get along. In return, Dhunanra will send him a barrel of a New Product: Thunder Grog!
(75) Myconids and (24) Frogfolk
The Thunder Grog Brewing Company (managed by his Consortium) will be born. The Greeniest Grog in the Lower Broken Lands. Thunder Grog may contain frog slime, some poisonous mushrooms (brings out that Grog Favor) and trace amounts of magics along some myconid spores for a little extra kick. About 6 silver pieces per eight ounce. 1,900 fluid ounces in a Keg = or about 142.5 dc per Keg of Thunder Grog!!Thunder Grog is Green

Cybrikain will offer a deal to Kol and Glantri they could not refuse. In exchange for the mining and processing of the ore; Cybrikain, is acknowledged as steward of the area and given a modest fee.
A wave of about four hundred Glantrian gold miners rush to the area less than a hundred barely make it back to Erewan do to fighting and poor planning. It will become known as The Month of Blood, Fools and Gold. Kol will set up restrictions on miners coming to his Principality. However, Cybrikain will allow a small handful of Glantrian miners to come to the mine.
Kol and the Princes will want some representatives in the area to monitor the mine and Cybrikain agrees. As long as the dragon delivers then Kol and the majority of the Princes see no problem working with the Dragon Sorcerer Cybrikain.
1015 AC: Club Kol is built nearby for the local humanoids. Visitors 2d6x100 per month, each spending about 20 GP (in trade or barter) per visit. Serves the best local insects and Thunder Grog or other local drinks.
1016 AC: A scout for the Consortium will follow a troublesome group of shadow elves back to Zajar Research Station in Trollhattan. In his High Elf form as Aumrauth Grethyra, he will send the location of Zajar back to Ezuhr Kelador (a fellow classmate that he discovered is still alive) from his days at the Early Fire Wizards Academy.
In the spring of 1016, several dozen veteran's goblins had made their way to the mine and began to steal some ore. The gang spent their time attacking the Trenot hundur (Mad Dog in Orc) kobolds miners.
In 1017 AC, a large white serpent (worm) disrupts gold mine operators off and on for 3 weeks and some unruly humanoids decide to attack.
6.13.1018 AC: An Archmage Aozus of the Feywoods will come and greet the dragon. He was in the area investigating a temporal distortion in Lower Trollhattan when he found the abandoned site of Votar. He hands a scale to Cybrikain and tells the dragon, " I would not have bothered but a Grey Dragon scale... Now that is a dragon, I had to see. Don't worry... I did my research and Epimeliades, that Dryad (ok, very nice, yet that person should be introduced in the timeline earlier)...said you were her hero. As a gift from me, I will leave Zoa Kram (a sidhe 12th level rogue) here to help you. Epimeliades may visit you in a few years." Cybrikain had almost forgotten about the Dryad he saved all those years ago.
Later, it becomes known that the goblin gang that was attacking the mine was working alongside another dragon. In late 8.1019 Ryuu Mahou, another huge dragon tries to muscle his way with his goblins but ends badly for this desert dragon (most possibly Blue or the Blue gem version). Only 2 members of the Consortium remain ,Zoa Kram is heavily damaged and the white serpent is slain (just a tamed albino purple worm). Cybrikain will send the head of the Dragon to the Kol (as a token of goodwill) that will add it to his royal home and Alebane, Ogre King will get a two handed bone club made from the dragon femaur. Ryuu Mahou's humanoid Identity will be taken by Zoa Kram and will discover soon therafter Ryuu Mahou was working for the Master of Hule.
Dolores Hillsbury visits Kol hearing he has a dragon head in his home. Kol will introduce her to Cybrikian
Cybrikian will introduces himself as a black dragon sorcerer but thinks, [@#$%, that's a Night Dragon!!]
Dolores Hillsbury thinks, [That's no Black dragon that's a Grey Dragon...@#$%!!]
Dragons, like Fairies have Second Sight, and thus can see that someone is a type of Dragon or even Fairy. Their Second Sight is weaker than Fairy, and as such does not enable to see Invisible Fairies. The two will be uncomfortable around each other. When Kol leaves them alone for a few minutes. There is a quick heated discussion between the two then she will leave. Either Cybrikian or Synn was confident in fighting each other; so, an uneasy agreement was reached. Both will not reveal the other's true identity and try to stay out of the others business.
In truth, both will investigate each other. Synn, will in a few years find he has one weakness and that is he is lonely and would like a mate. She will start treating him "kinder" and may use his weakness to her advantage in years to come.
Cybrikian hears from Zoa Kram that outside of the New Kolland area, some humanoids have slaves . Cybrikian remembers being under Frandrilth's claws for 70 years. He will keep working to free the slaves in the Upper and Lower Broken Lands.
He first group is freed through a simple gold exchange. To his surprise: one of "slaves" is a Deep Shadow Elf. There is also one Erewan Elf, a badly wounded Rockhome dwarf, hin and a small-time food merchant from Darokin. He would help get each of them back home. A small team of Deep Shadow Elves representatives returns in about 3 months to make "friendly" with Cybrikian.

Note on New Threat: population is 200; 70 Bargda and 130 Hill Giants
New Threat: The Bargda continue to direct their hill giant minions from their new capital. Worse still, they have managed to outfit themselves with forged armor out of a mysterious anti-magical ore that he had discovered in the southern hills near Glantri.
The giants of New Threat do not ally themselves with any of the other humanoid. They have recently made attempts to dominate their nearest neighbours, the Ogrelords. They are a serious threat in the region, doubly so due to their magical resistance.
The Ogrelords will ask Cybrikian for assistance and he will agree to help them. As he ponders, what is the best way to deal with the problem? Zoa Kram tells Cybrikian not to worry as he will investigate and assist with New threat. Along with using his invisibility to mortals to "loot" New Threat every few weeks.
Zoa Kram will pass the info to Aozus and the Archmage will send the info to the Council of Votar. Starting in late 1019 AC, every 1d4 months afterward about 2d6 hill giants and 20% chance of a (1) Bargda will vanish along with their anti-magic items. The Undead Council of Votar will then send their dead bodies to the Archmage and Aozus will animate them as undead guardians.
In the coming years, he will develope more dragon-based spells, study the Way of the Dragon and help expand the underground region. He will notice the raising waters in the Great Crater and begin sealing the lower Chambers with the help of the Deep Shadow Elves. It will help out the humaniods in the region and helps protect his Pyramid. As the water rises, Cybrikian will relocate Dhunanra Village to the Ogrelord's area.
