Deiledgast (or Deildegast, boundary haunt) are undead haunts (see RC p 182). In mortal life, they were norsemen who have moved boundary stones between properties, an unforgivable offence. They appear as semi-transparent northmen with tattered clothes and glowing eyes. The Deiledgast is constantly trying to move the boundary stones back to their original place, but will always fail as the rocks fall from their hands. While working, hysterical laughter followed by shreiks of horror can be heard.

Deiledgast's do not have the ability to create ectoplasmic webs like other haunts. In combat, they can use their gaze attack (60' range, one target). Targets must make a save vs. spells or be paralysed for 2d4 rounds. Haunts are immaterial and may only be harmed by +2 or better weapons. Their punch attacks do no damage. However, they are able to levitate two rune inscribed boundary rocks that they can launch at targets. Those hit will suffer 1d6 damage and age 10 years. They may make a save vs spells to avoid the ageing effect. The Deiledgast may use his action to retreat to the Ethereal Plane should the combat go poorly. Deiledgasts may make a save vs. spells to avoid being turned.

The Deiledgast is often encountered in the Northern Reaches and Norwold. They can also be found on the Ethereal Plane and the Outer Planes of Helheim and Niflheim.
