Glantri Demography Population Figures

by Simone Neri

Just to compare it with your calculations I'm listing below the population figures I used for Glantri in my demography project (in Italian).

Principalities of Glantri (whole nation) = pop. 836,410 [1] (87.1% humans, 7.2% elves, 3.5% lupins, 2.2% others)

Races: [2]

* Humans: 728,630 (21% Flaems, 14% Thyatians [7% Caurentines, 7% Glantrians], 11% Hattians, 11% Averoignans, 10% Boldavians, 9% Ethengarians, 8% Kaelics, 6% Alphatians, 4% Anglais, 3% Wendarians, 2% Ispans, 1% foreigners)
* Elves: 60,540 (57.9% bronze elves [aka Flamenco or Belcadiz], 41.5% wood elves, 0.6% silver elves [aka Wendarian elves])
* Lupins: 28,900 (31.2% mongrels, 25.4% Glantri mountaineers, 12.2% hounds of Klantyre, 5.6% blue bandits, 5.2% king mastiffs, 5% burrow bandits, 4.5% Cimarron hairless, 3.1% gnomish snoutzers, 2.9% doggermans, 2.5% das hunds, 2.4% great beagles)
* Orcs: 5,000 (95% orcus porcus, 5% orcus imperator rex)
* Goblins: 4,000 (40% goblinus goblinus, 35% goblinus occidensis, 25% goblinus oriensis)
* Lycanthropes: 2,500 (80% werewolves, 8% werebears, 8% wereboars, 2.8% weretigers, 1.2% other species)
* Hobgoblins: 2,000 (100% goblinus grandis)
* Giants: 1,000 (25% hill giants, 20% stone giants, 20% ettins [3], 15% fire giants, 12% frost giants, 5% cyclops, 3% mountain giants)
* Rakastas: 750 (100% mountain rakastas)
* Faenares: 500
* Ogres: 500 (100% homo monstrum brutalis)
* Sasquatches: 250
* Trolls: 250 (100% monstrum carnivorus maximus)
* Lizardmen: 200 [4]
* Harpies: 100

[1] Note that I added to Glantri's area the plain hexes that stand between the Principalities and the Adri Varma's Plateau (which were not accounted for in GAZ3, but were encompassed within Glantri's borders in WotI's 24-miles-per-hex for AC 1004). Note also that this figure includes non-civilized races (listed below).
[2] I included in the population's count only races with at least 100 inhabitants in the Glantrian territory.
[3] The presence of ettins in Glantri is enlightened by GKoM.
[4] Lizardmen are featured in the adventure "At the Spottle Parlor" in Dragon Magazine #12, set on the Wendarian Range.

That's all. Some numbers are obsolete (calculations were made in 2006), but that's it.
