Mystara referenced in Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel

by Ripvanwormer

The fact that Godsbreath is supposed to be inhabited by people who were relocated by their gods to preserve their culture makes me think it might make sense in the Hollow World. The Tanagoro Plains have the right climate, I think: "The Tanagoro lands are broad, grassy plains and forests in the southern hemisphere. The sun is hot, but northern winds often bring relief from it." The people of Godsbreath aren't the Tanagoro; they have similarities (ie, small agricultural communities), and probably a common ancestry, but I imagine they were brought to the Hollow World much later than the Tanagoro were, only generations ago rather than millennia ago. They dress differently, they have a different religion and a different culture, but they live in peace as neighbors of the Tanagoro. I think I'd identify Nightwater Cove in Godsbreath with Thanol Bay south of the Tanagoro Plains in the Hollow World, with the Nightwater Isles being islands to the south of that. I don't know why the lands of Godsbreath are growing less fertile: perhaps the Burrowers are to blame.
