Eternal Granite

by Overmind_2099

The sun is old, its lifelight cold,
No more songs of Alphatia will echo now
Through halls of old
Nor windswept cliffs
Forbidden to the children elemental

Flaems are free (or think themselves so)
And glory is the meal set before
The gilded kings and senators
Of the iron people of the shore

But in some deep
Deep dreaming too
As submerged quest takes us on our way
We'll hear a call as of some delphine
Siren singing to the endless night
Of sea bottom wrecks and domed cities
Bright against the uneven muck of
Our drowned homeland
And the cold sea whispers endlessly
"This will be your fate, too."
