Still sort of training a Chat GPT conversation in BECMI monsters (here's a handy hint for that - give it plenty of your own work to chew on and you get responses back closer to your own style), and it's getting my sense of humour now. I've had to edit this a but, but its about right.

Gastrognomes are small, gnome-like creatures that inhabit underground caverns and tunnels. They have a rotund, pot-bellied appearance and are known for their love of food, particularly rare and exotic delicacies.

In combat, Gastrognomes prefer to rely on their intelligence and trickery rather than physical strength. They may attempt to negotiate or bribe their way out of a fight, or use their special abilities to confuse or incapacitate their opponents.

Gastrognomes have a special ability called "Flatulence", which they can use once per day. This ability releases a 30' diameter cloud of gas that causes confusion and disorientation in anyone caught within it. Creatures affected by the gas must make a saving throw or they will cough and splutter, suffering a -2 to saving throws and to hit and damage for 1 turn.

Despite their love of quality food, Gastrognomes are not averse to eating anything they can get their hands on, including carrion and even sentient creatures. They are fiercely territorial and will defend their homes and food stores with cunning and ferocity.
