Hashaburminal Ascendant - WOTI alternative

by Marc Saindon

An alternate idea for Alfheim during the Wrath of the Immortals events, in which a more powered-up Hashaburminal, the Nithian Lich opposed to Elves, taps into greater necromancy and causes the Trees of Life to die (instead of Shadow Elves poisoning their roots), and transforms a large contingent of Shadow Elf dupes into "Wyrds" (some Shadow Elves escape to tell the tale). Canolbarth Forest still turns into the gloomy Aengmor, although Rafielton has another name (let's call it "Rotwood" until something better comes up).

In this context, Alfheim clans and Shadow Elves can have a truce (or not) and fight a greater evil, save the forest, and perhaps build a new nation. Or two.

The Forest Lich is of course aligned with Hule during the WOTI events. Part of defeating him might require traveling to the Good Kingdom/Feywild (under Unseelie management, as Oberon slumbers from a curse) and the Shadowfell (which would look like the barren plains of Canolbarth, prior to Elf magic creating the forest, although darker) to get the Lich's Periapt.

Since Undead are involved and Elves aren't the most "clerical", perhaps they might have to ally with Dwarves to get a better access to Turn Undead, which might change the dynamic between the two people.
