What exactly is the connection between Centaurs and the other subraces and variant creatures? Pegataurs seem to be an entirely separate race, yet visually it makes sense that they would be connected. Perhaps Centaur blood was used in the process of creating Pegataurs, or perhaps there is some deeper magical connection?
The Chevalls seem to be more of a protector of nature/horses version of Centaurs. Possibly offspring of Cheiron? Or servitors of Takhati?
Nuckalavee are perverted and twisted forms of Centaurs. How are they created? Are they cursed Centaurs?
What about other Centaur-like creatures like Wemics or the Centaur-like Sheep folk from Bruce Heard's Goatmen article? Are they related somehow?
