Village of Stallanford

by Robin

In my work on the Duke's Road Pass of June 2021 and my own Gaming Group I required a map of Stallanford.
As no such detailed canon map did exist, I searched for fanon material and found on Pinterest the very nice Forgotten Realms village Julkuon map of Mike Schley.

IHis map did not fit perfectly, yet it had a charm and base suitable for my gaming group and the location.
I altered the map Mike Schlev had made severely, by using the map itself and cutting/copying/pasting details to literally make the map befit my Karameikos Central Map of September 2021 created using Canon/fanon details. So In effect a different map was spawned using Mike's material, combining it with Mystara's Canon & Fanon

Recently Tom on the Piazza Forum searched for a map of Stallanford, and I decided to help, by posting my earlier made version here.
I also have added all textual information I could find on Stallonford and added it together with a section of the 1 mile hex map of the region of Karameikos.

Janner Stallanford, Son of a wealthy Thyatian Leatherworker and a Traladaran Lady, was appointed by the Penhaligon rulers as the best suitable mayor of the village, and as such the village was renamed after this person accordingly. Janner refuses to stop leatherworking, and is more a commoner with a larger working place than upper class ruler. He has 2 boys of 5 and 7, and a girl of 6. His wife perished in a Leghorn Orc attack, and he remarried Lastya Juschief in 1000AC. Lastya is pregnant. Lastya her elderly parents live in the Stallonford manor, and though knowledgeable, they are more a nuisamce due their needs as elderly than a boon. They dislike Janner because he is not a treu Traladaran but a halfbreed.

Now Stallanford does exist as a detailed map.

Other Shops/Professions in Stallanford include; Dairy, Butcher, Carpenter, Loggers, Hunters/Trappers, Farmer (Crops varying by season), Sheeps/Goat herder, Tailor, Weaver, Reetcutter/Roofer.
The wizard/witch from the Penhaligon Trilogy Karleah Kunzai, lives several miles to the east, and may visit each season.
Logs floating Downriver are caught here at the old Stalbrod Jetty and brought to the Sawmill. Boats going downstream carry mostly sawn products, furs, and Hunting Produce. the rest is used locally. Import are metals from passing merchants, or fabrics like flax for clothes, or requested materials from Penhaligon, Kota-Hutan, or Kelven.
