Mystara 40k
by Marc SaindonA bit of my morning insanity, this is an alternate take on Mystara, which expands each of the Gazetteers as their own star system. Rather than Grim Dark, go pulp.
Star System 1 - Karameikos - is refered to as "the Marches" and is an imperial border region. Karameikos Prime (formerly the planet Petra of the Traladaran Federation) is its core world, although a lot of action goes on the Threshold Asteroid Colony.
Star System 2 - the Sultanate of Ylaruam - it's Dune.
Star System 3 - the Glantrian Combine - a magitech trade consortium, although individual planets at times war with each other ('War is good for business')
Star System 4 - Ierendi - a Resort world. Formerly a hive of space pirates. A bit like Vegas still holds its mobster origins despite being mostly corporate now. Probably ripe for an invasion.
Star System 5 - Alfheim - friendlier Eldar.
Star System 6 - Ecumenopolis of Rockhome - this is a Coruscant-like Factory World of Dwarves. Gravity is stronger on Rockhome. Also the Dwarves fare better than the Squats.
Star System 7 - Jormungandr - a threefold sytem divided between planet Vestland, planet Ostland, and the outlying Jarldom Asteroids at the edge. Space Vikings.
Star System 8 - Five Shires - a "Ratling" federation of planets. Probably ripe for invasion.
Star System 9 - Minrothad Corporation - it's Weyland-Yultani.
Star System 10 - Hordelands of Thar - on the edge of the galaxy, these unknown regions host Orcs and countless other monstrosities.
Star System 11 - Darokinian Conglomerate - another corporate system that believes in 'Peace Through Prosperity'. Maybe a potential T'au stand-in.
Star System 12 - the Khanate of Ethengar - "Khaaaaan!". They are Space Mongols with a dose of Klingon, usually busy raiding the Glantrians. They are more at the edges of the galaxy.
Star System 13 - Shadow Elves - friendlier Dark Eldars. They live in Shipworlds and Star Stations on the edge of the galaxy, their original homeworld having been destroyed.
Star System 14 - Atruaghin Clans - Bravestarr.
Core Worlds System - Thyatis Empire - The Imperium of Man.
Nearby Galaxies: Hule Nebula, the Alphatian Dominion, the Savage Cluster, etc.
