Nithian Runner

As Fighter, except as follows:

• Nithian Cultural Limitations:
• Illiteracy: Nithian characters must spend a skill slot in order to learn how to read and write. (This is a modification of the rule in the HW boxed set)
• Armor Limitation: may not use any armor that gives an AC better than 5 (not including bonuses for Dex, magic or skills).
• Cultural Weapons limitation: Nithians are limited to using the weapons associated with their culture.
• Ability Score Requirement: Con 12
• Armor: Nothing heavier than harness, bracers and a light shield. Wearing anything heavier will remove any benefits of this variant class untill removed.
• Required Skills: N/A
• Recommended Skills: Nithian Armor, Nithian Weapons, Bracers, Nithian Shields, Bow Shield, Charioteer combat, Khopesh, Shield Back,
• Restistance to Exhaustion: Never check for Heat Exhaustion during combat. Halve number of Exhaustion checks when running. Double Con bonus when rolling to resist Exhaustion.
• Fast attack: +3 to first attack during combat. If hit, roll on table on p 20 for additional effects.
• Limitations:
• When encumbered, a Runner looses all his benefits and suffers an additional -1 to all attack rolls
