Quickhand Guild - Secrets of the Minrothad Halflings
by HåvardAs with the https://www.thepiazza.org.uk/bb/viewtopic.php?t=35298 topic, I think halflings deserve more fun options just like elves (and dwarves).
Halflings of Monorthad were formerly slaves, but now enjoy their freedom and value hard work balanced with good meals. They are said to have more zeal than Five Shires halflings. They can follow any of the faiths of the Minrothad Guilds.
The Quickhand Guild is where we find most of the Halflings. This guild includes the following positions:
Master Leatherworker: Here we find things like cobblers, saddlemakers, furriers and armorers. Leather armor with reinforced metal rings or studded armor is mentioned, but no stats. Bardings and shields can also be produced here. Maybe some special halfling leather armors could be included?Master Fuelmaker: This is an odd one since it includes production of oils, charcoal and candles, but also transportation, etc.
Master Craftsman: This position oversees pottery, basketweaving, hornmakers and glassblowing. I think about this guild overseeing both oil makers and potters and immediately think of special grenade like weapons. The gaz mentions water proof baskets. Could be something there? And finally glassblowing produces containers sought after by mages.
Interestingly Guild Corser oversees pipe production, but I assume halflings will be involved in that too as that guild employs many races? What are some ways we can help make the halflings of Minrothad a bit more unique and maybe give players some more crunchy options to make these guys even more fun to play?
