Adapting the old Quest for Glory series as modules

by Marc Saindon

The Hero is originally from Silmaria, which can converted to Ierendi.

The German setting of QFG1 (which features slavic Baba Yaga) can be one of the Soderfjord Jarldoms (more scandinavian than german), with Castellan being a good option (explaining the Katta innkeepers and Abdullah Doo's caravan).

The Arabic setting of QFG2 is of course Ylaruam, with Barrimoor taking the role of Ad Avis as the BBEG. Ylaruam City replaces Shapeir, while Raseir could be Parsa undergoing a regime change.

The East African setting of Tarna in QFG3 could be the Serpent Peninsula, with Tyjaret serving as Tarna City (with added nithian ruins and wemic aristocracy), and the map be flipped 90 degrees so the west-east progression of the game translates as a north-south venture (going from the city, to the savannah, to the jungle and to the lost city).

The slavic setting of QFG4, Mordavia, could be a an expanded Riverfork Keep in Karameikos, currently flooded in south (major swamp problems) and momentarily under the mists of Ravenloft (with Katrina on the verge of being locked in a Domain should she succeed her scheme).

The greek island setting of QFG5 sets itself close enough to Ierendi, especially as the succession for the next king is issued by contest. add in more tiki elements, downplay the greek ones.
