person to peruse vast quantities of information in relatively
little time in search of a certain fact or piece of information.
This researchers must know what he or she is seeking beforehand,
and must be able to clearly state to the DM what the object of
their search happens to be. The amount of information gained is
dependent on the degree of success (or failure) of the roll.
Succeeding by a considerable margin indicates that the researcher
has managed to uncover more information than expected, while a
failure indicates an inability to find anything. Users of this
skill should keep in mind, however, that successful checks do not
guarantee accurate information; if the subject being researched is
obscure, the probability that information related to it is
inaccurate or highly speculative is likely.
