Sethlanis [Wayland]
According to the myths and legends of the Taymorans, Sethlanis is an Immortal who is the patron of metalsmithing. It is said that he was once a mortal man who lived on the mortal plane, but his exceptional talent for working with metals caught the attention of Nyx, the goddess of the night. Nyx approached Sethlanis and offered to teach him the secret techniques of the Immortals in exchange for his loyalty.
Despite his initial reluctance, Sethlanis ultimately agreed to Nyx's offer and was transformed into an Immortal. From that point on, he dedicated himself to the craft of metalsmithing and became a master of the art. However, despite his great skill, Sethlanis is said to be a volatile and dangerous being. He is the patron of the Fomorian giants, and is often depicted as a muscle-bound giant with tentacles in place of lower legs, each of which ends in a fire-breathing snake head.
The Taymorans pay homage to Sethlanis with many donations and sacrifices, hoping to appease him and prevent his volcanoes from unleashing their deadly fluids on the miners. However, it is said that Sethlanis harbors a deep dislike for the Taymorans, and they must constantly work to earn his favor. Despite their efforts, Sethlanis is known to be a capricious and unpredictable deity, and his volcanoes are always ready to erupt at any moment.
The Myth of the Golden Forge: It is said that there was once an Immortal metalsmith named Eteris who was renowned for his exceptional skill at working with gold. Eteris was said to be a close ally of Sethlanis, and was often called upon to create intricate and beautiful golden objects for him. According to the myth, Eteris had a forge located in the heart of a mountain, which was fueled by the heat of molten gold. It was said that the Golden Forge could create any object that he desired, and that his creations were infused with the power of the sun. However, it was also said that the Golden Forge was a greedy and avaricious deity, and that it demanded large amounts of gold in exchange for its services.
The Legend of the Fomorian King: According to legend, there was once a powerful Fomorian giant named Gorgenox who ruled over a kingdom of giants located near the volcanoes of Sethlanis. Gorgenox was said to be a fierce and fearsome warrior, with the strength and endurance of the molten lava that flowed from Sethlanis's volcanoes.
Gorgenox was said to have a great affinity for Sethlanis, and was said to be the patron of the Fomorian giants. It was believed that Gorgenox could control the eruptions of Sethlanis's volcanoes, and that he used this power to punish his enemies and protect his subjects. However, it was also said that Gorgenox was a cruel and capricious ruler, and that he expected his subjects to pay him great tribute and offer many sacrifices to appease him.
