What if? The Rising Tides of Tangor
by Marc SaindonSo Tangor is a mighty empire with numerous Rangers with Mountain as their favored environment, possibly with a lot of terrace agriculture (like Incas and Chinese), what if they took to the seas, in great numbers?
The Tangoran Fleet (built with all that mighty mountain timber) started out as a defensive measure against encroaching Minean pirates, but soon captured vessels and staff allowed the Empire to make their fleet much more effective -- pressuring the Mineans towards Alphatia and the Isle of Dawn instead. With some measure of peace achieved, the Fleet was expanded, for both commerce and exploration. Some contacts were made with Davania (who some mountainless lands), and one crazed Tangoran Captain sailed eastward across an endless ocean, only to surprisingly return with riches and news of a new continent, as well as descriptions of the Savage Coast.
