Thunder Rift Adventure Path
by BelathauzerI've actually worked out numerous Adventure Paths for Thunder Rift, with some using official materials, and self- or fan- produced materials. My best APs were two separate APs set in separate areas of the Rift, with both eventually converging in Melinir. This allowed for two separate parties, that could eventually be combined in Melinir as PCs died or retired, or players dropped out. If you think about it, the same PCs can't possibly be responsible for all the adventure in a given region; so it was natural to divide up adventures in such a way that some would be played out by the PCs and the rest of the "jobs" would be taken by the "other guys". This added another level of rivalry and conflict to the game, but I'm digressing now.
If you want an AP using only officially labelled TR materials, then I would suggest the following:
The Knight of Newts
Sword and Shield
Goblin's Lair Boxed Set: Red Hand Trail
Goblin's Lair Boxed Set: Trouble Below
Assault on Raven's Ruin
Goblin's Lair Boxed Set: Palace of Dread
Quest for the Silver Sword
Rage of the Rakasta
In the Phantom's Wake
The Haunted Tower Boxed Set: The Fighters' Academy
The Haunted Tower Boxed Set: Towers of Evil
The Haunted Tower Boxed Set: Lair of the Vampire Lord
Escape from Thunder RiftThis order makes sense as far as the adventures' player & level requirements go. If you happen to have the Classic D&D Game Boxed Set, which includes the adventures Escape from Zanzer's Dungeon and Stonefast, then I'd suggest this:
Escape from Zanzer’s Dungeon
Stonefast
Goblin's Lair Boxed Set: Red Hand Trail
Goblin's Lair Boxed Set: Trouble Below
Assault on Raven's Ruin
Goblin's Lair Boxed Set: Palace of Dread
The Knight of Newts
Sword and Shield
Quest for the Silver Sword
Rage of the Rakasta
In the Phantom's Wake
The Haunted Tower Boxed Set: The Fighters' Academy
The Haunted Tower Boxed Set: Towers of Evil
The Haunted Tower Boxed Set: Lair of the Vampire Lord
Escape from Thunder RiftZanzer's Dungeon has been placed in the north-west section of the Rift by Havard; someplace between Kleine and Hearth-Home. This AP assumes that placement.
If I ever get around to detailing my APs properly (complete with interludes, like the classic mega-module APs); or completing my homebrew adventures in a polished, professional (PDF) format, I'll be sure to post them all on this board. Unfortunately, this is all I've got for now.
